The first thing I will do is post the url to all my results on speedtest.net. It's easier to do that, than post a bunch of different links and picks. If I see 200+ I will post those as images, otherwise just go look at the url below.
http://www.speedtest.net/results.php?sh=f854b438b299aabbbaf1d1ddb733fbb1&ria=0
I am hitting close to 180-185 peek during most of these tests as observed via netmeter.
Please include your current speed package. I am on the 200/20.

Maybe the FCC,FTC and AG's should use the rico act on the isp's
Isn't what some isp's are doing a voilation of the rico act. First the forcing to pay more, 20 dollars for suddenlink. 30 dollars and more for other isp's. If you want unlimited but also for some that have the lower packages makeing is so the only way you can get the unlimited is if you move up to a higher tier.
In suddenlink/altice case if I want unlimited not only do I have to pay 20 dollars to move up to a higher tier. I also have to pay another 20 dollars for the unlimited.
Which in my case would more then double what I pay now.
But like in some peoples cases, wouldn't that be a form of extortion. A voilation of the Rico act.
So maybe people in situations like mine should beside complaining to the FCC, be complaining to their AG's in the states where it is happening.

sqm with openwrt limiting download speed to ~65 Mbps?
upgraded to the 150 plan, currently still on the SB6120 with a 6183 in the mail. suddenlink still isn't doing any traffic shaping meaning 1000+ ms ping when saturated so we have to use SQM.
no matter what i set the ingress or queueing discipline to the speed will not exceed 65-70 Mbps (unless i set it to something stupid like 1000000000, then it will go to ~87). what to do? speed without SQM is about 120 Mbps so it (probably?) isn't the modem bonding channel limit.

Has anyone seemed to notice port 80 is now unblocked (at least for us)? We recently moved and upon moving happened to notice it however I haven't checked in the last few months.

why do most websites think I'm in Chicago?(instead of my actual
why do most websites think I'm in Chicago?(instead of my actual location in North Carolina) Spoke to 3 different Suddenlink techs and all blame the problem on other companies... :(
just off the top of my head, these websites all think I'm in Chicago:
MLB.TV
Walmart.com
Apple.com
BestBuy.com
Google.com(Google Maps)
Dominos.com
eBay.com
The vast majority of the websites that I visit regularly all think the same....
This occurs on my PC, Macbook, Galaxy S7 phone, as well as my Apple TV and Roku. I've reset my cable modem and router... from what I can see, my public IP address changed to a new one after I left the cable modem disconnected overnight... but still no change. they are still all showing me in Chicago.
By the way, I've never been to Chicago in my life... perhaps this is a sign that I should visit the city? :D

Router shows very little usage. Ping is still awful... Happens daily from 4pm-10pmish.
We have had the 100/7.5mb package for 6 months or so and still only connect to 1 upstream...
At around 3am the bufferbloat and quality score get a A/B most of the time thanks to my router, Asus RT-AC66R, I will post that later tonight.

CableCard issue
I went by the local office the other day to pick up a CableCard for my HDHomerun prime...They gave me an instruction sheet on how to call and get it activated..The first call, after 15 min on hold, the lady took half my information(which she seemed to already have access to) and said she didn't need CableCard ID or Host ID..said I was good to go..After I did a channel scan I notice that I get like 4 or 5 HD channels and those are ones that are OTA..So,I call again last night at 10:30pm..This time I'm on hold for 23 min before I get thru to someone :( This fella is more helpful and takes all the info I need to give him..He says he can't get it to "pair"? that I need to come back and try a new card or call the manufacture of my box...After reading others problems on here dealing with same problem,I'm beginning to think they may not be good at setting these up..Who can I get ahold of to save a trip back to local store or setting on hold again with same results? Thanks

if I have 200mbps unlimited, can I download 2,000 GB per day?
if I have 200mbps unlimited, can I download 2,000 GB per day?
no, I'm not actually going to do that... it's not like I can't even find that much stuff to download/upload.
I'm just wondering what the theoretical maximum is for a 200mbps connection in a 24-hour period.
thansk!

Would I benefit moving from a SB6121 to a SB6141 at 50Mbps?
Would I benefit moving from a Motorola SB6121 modem to a SB6141 on the 50Mbps, 75Mbps or 100Mbps plans? I found a decent deal on a SB6141 and I just want to know if it is worth upgrading. I'm currently on the 50Mbps plan but I may upgrade in the future. Would the SB6121 even allow me to upgrade?

[Connectivity] Extreme packet loss, high ping/latency... Routing issue?
Hi. For a very long time, I've been having internet stability issues. It seems to be an on and off occurrence. There will be periods of time, weeks, maybe even a month, with no issue. Then there are other periods where I have the absolute worst connection of all time and I can barely browse the internet. Online games are unplayable.
It doesn't seem to be a speed issue. My computer hooked up directly to the modem recieves 200 Mbps DL /20 UP, which is what I pay for. All the other computers in our home recieve fair enough signals and speed on our wifi through our router.
Hop 5 (173.219.236.175) specifically has always given me issues, I have never seen below 350 ping on ANY computer in my household. Even the computer hooked directly to the modem has this issue. I attached a photo of one of our computers on wifi.
For reference, my Router is an Archer C7 AC1750, and my modem is an Arris SURFBOARD 6163.
I have had multiple technicians come to my home. They have checked my wiring, my speed, the amount of power being sent... Nothing has helped/worked! I am begging for help at this point.
If anymore information is needed, I can provide it.
Thank you for reading

[TV] How to...
I bought Tivo Bolt for my Suddenlink service for one tv. How do I connect my tivo mini for a 2nd tv? During setup the 2nd tv with tivo mini asks me to choose either MOCA or ethernet connection. I think ethernet is only avaiable at the one source in the living room. How do I connect MOCA? I called Suddenlink and was told I needed another cable card for the mini. The Kingwood, Tx office I went to for the card told me I did not need a card. What do you think? Kirk

[TV] Video freezes
Hello.
While watching TV sometimes the video will freeze for a few seconds. Do others experience video freezing?
Audio also cuts in and out and words are missed while watching TV.
My neighbor has stated to me that his video will freeze, so it is not at my house. I talked to a person in Bethel, NC, and that person told me the video froze up also. This person also stated that audio would also cut in and out. So I would expect it to be wide spread over the Parmele/Robersonville headend area.
Sometimes WNCT, channel 110, will freeze and WITN, channel 108, will go black. One day I was watching the History channel, 245 I believe and it froze, and I then went up one channel and down one channel and both channels were black. It lasted 4 to 5 seconds.
Is this the normal with Suddenlink? Makes for frustrating TV viewing.

Getting suddenlink to expand to my neighborhood
I've recently moved to a new development and we are having no luck with ATT and our only option is line of sight internet... which is not cutting it. I was wondering what steps I need to take to get suddenlink to expand to us it stops about a mile down the road. I'm located in crandall TX if that helps.
